BEHIND THE LOOKS

I'm Aubrey Joyce Mundo Amian, 22, Filipino with Spanish descent, a wife and a mom.

 

I started playing with makeup at age 7. Sneaking out with my cousin to use my mom's eyeshadows and lipsticks. But I was told to not use them at early age. I lost my interest in makeup during high school days until I got exposed in the modelling industry.

 

Being a model requires makeup skills because we face different people with different perspetives during gosees/screenings. I gained my skills by attending to several makeup workshops from modelling jobs and pageants that I've joined. I asked some great makeup artists for some tips and watch makeup tutorials to gain ideas. At first it was difficult, until I learned and practiced the proper makeup application and color blending/matching. Then people started to praise my makeup and asked me to get into the business and make it a profession.

 

It took me a year to gain the guts to start this job. And now I have the confidence to share my works and skills. 

 

Makeup can transform you from a cinderella to a beautiful princess. You just have to know the Dos and Don'ts so that it won't make you look like a drag queen or something. Makeup works like magic, so wear them confidently!
